BI Developer / Data Engineer

The opportunity…
We have an exciting opportunity for a BI Developer / Data Engineer to join this successful, long-standing business in the sporting industry.
As a Data Engineer you will ensure data platform solutions are designed and developed following best practices, and are cost-effective and reliable. You will be accountable for creating and maintaining the data platform that is used for reporting, data mining and analytics across the business. There will be a blend of project and BAU work in this role, and currently a focus for the team is migrating to AWS.
The role will be based in their brand new offices in Wigan with flexibility to work a couple of days each week from home.
Skills & Experience:
- Well-rounded experience across reporting, analytics, database design and implementation
- Strong MSBI stack experience - SQL Server, T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS
- Cloud platform experience with either Azure, AWS, GCP
- Experience with cloud based data warehouses i.e. Redshift, Snowflake or similar will be beneficial
- Coding experience with C#, Python, Scala or R will be useful
