- A Platform Engineer is required for a permanent role in Birmingham offering a salary of up to £55,000 per annum plus benefits to include 25 days holidays + bank holidays, bonus scheme, flexi-working hours, life insurance, private medical, pension, relaxed dress code, training programs and more.
You will be joining a community of Platform Engineers responsible for the rollout and support of the business journey to continuous deployment in an extremely Agile environment.
Working alongside multiple on site development teams you will be responsible for supporting the set up their environments during each project start up and ensuring that each team is designing for deployment.
You will organise the end to end deployment process, ensuring that all teams have considered each aspect to go live and work in all other business environments once it is deployed.
Current projects include the templating and tooling around continuous integration and resolving issues in the CI pipeline.
You should have a strong infrastructure background, preferably Windows based and always be looking to add to your technical portfolio. A good understanding of continuous integration technologies and approach either with TFS, TeamCity or Jenkins would be great.
You will be a cloud expert, and ideally this will be in Azure. If you have experience working with configuration systems such as Chef along with automated deployment experience with Octopus Deploy then then this would be a huge bonus.
